We're leavin' back to Finalnd in an hour or so. Yesterday i went to downtown Frisco to get some coffee and ran into this dude. Almost spilled my morning coffee all over the streets!! MATCHING EVERYTHING!!!Whats up! And he had a bigger stereosystem than my car has. True Gangsta.Thats the kinda style i dont really get.But i propably dont even have to...
And as allways, its good to see Herbie back on the street on Christmas time.
Went to check out the San Francisco Vintage Cycles shop today and met one of the owners ( i think). He's called Chris, a really nice dude.We had a little talk and checked out the places and i bought a helmet. Chris told me they started the thing 'cause it was hard to find jobs around Bay area. They restore and build mostly old British bikes but i think i saw one Yamaha there as well. If youre in the area go say hi. Im on a family vacation so we didnt have that much time to shoot the shit and take pictures but you get the idea. They've got a website HERE
And couple of days earlier i drove down to San Jose to skate with my friend Louie. He took me to Harrys HofBrau to eat some Turkey.Which was nice.
Her´s some flicks and storys behind early custom scene mostly from helsinki, there´s allso some of the first choppers built in cold north. I guess it´s only in finnish but you can allways dig the flicks. These guy´s were the rebels those days and ive have had pleasure to meet some of them and hear some sick stories what happend those days.
Just finished this one for a guy from sweden, hope he´s happy with the result. The rest of bike was neat when i saw pics of it last summer, now he´s doing some rebuilding on it and i´m sure it´s gonna be really good lookin Triumph on streets of Norrköping.
Some Finnish engineer did this starmotor inside a back wheel of a motorsickle in the 1920's pretty dope innit??!! Check out the exhaust, it runs inside the wheel. The carburetor is on the other side inside the brakedrum. Last friday was cool. I went to Technical Museum of Helsinki and after that we had lunch at Beefy Queen (the name says it all) and after that had some beers at Bar Llamas. Good stuff all around.
Started doing these footpegs . How is it possible that i havent realized how cool working with Lathe is. If anyone has or knows where i can get some Stainless,Brass and aluminium for cheap ofcourse so i could practice a bit more.
Here´s the first try to do some ink under the skin, did this in my friends tattoo studio in Lahti called Otherside tattoo. Tony helped me to get the setups ready and helpped a LOT in the beginnin but after the first cigarette break my hands stopped shakin and i was finding the flow to do that stuff. I´m happy how the pic came out. Now just have to wait until it´s healed and check the final result, to be continued for sure, just have no idea how much all the gray ink will shade. Can`t wait to do another !
When i used to skate more. I should still skate a hell of a lot more than i do but maby i'll get some skating done next summer when my bikes finished. The naked guy is called Vekke. A good friend of mine. Allways up for a challenge. We had a team in the Helsinki Cup.
Its a weekend long competition held by a Finnish skatemag called Hang up.you get a list of stuff to do and if you try to do them all it takes all weekend. its real fun, you get to drink beer with your friends and skate all kinds of spots.

Last night i started to mock up my bike again. Got a new front end that is a little bit longer than the old one so she sits a bit higher now. But i think it looks pretty good like that. Handlebars are gonna be a little problem since theyr so close to the tank. I was thinkin of doing some small straight bars on the sides but i dont know. its a looong winter ahead so i think i'll figure it out some day. But so far so good.
Some good ol' skate punk and some other bands too. This is a great way to spend an evening. Final assault is my friend Aleksis band. Theyr a bunch of old guys playing nice skatpunk music with a really good attitude.
I knew that its pretty Cool to ride a ride motorcycle in the states nowadays but i didnt know that its this cool!
Rick ross changed the maybachs to Harley Davidsons. He used to wear five Rolex's on both hands and now hes flying threw desert with a big ass Harley wearing a leatherjacket. My choise for rides could've been a bit different but hey neon coloured road glides ain't bad either...
